Waste hair is hair that was not meant to be collected. Through the process of waste hair, after the hair is collected from the floor and sold to these companies, the hair is taken and put through a chemical bath to strip it of all the cuticles.

The waste hair is then covered with silicone to make it feel smooth until it is washed, often times in more chemicals. At that point, the hair becomes tangled up and rats nested, or it is mixed with animal hair, synthetic plastic hair, other random hair, the gamut. Afterward, the hair is dyed. Most often times the dye is a permanent dye designed for the use of clothing, making it impossible to dye the hair on your own without destroying the look. Many times also, the hair is actually boiled in the dye, not only ruining the look for future coloring, but the life of the hair as well.
